Dear Friends,
I am very happy to share that there will be a few opportunities to see my work in person over the next few months. I will have a collection of oil paintings at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, ME, from May 1st through July 15th. In addition, on June 5th there will be a walk-through to see the artwork on display (Including five of my drawing) at the Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport, ME. Lastly, I am very excited for my two-person show at the Granite Gallery in Tenant’s Harbor, ME, during the first week of July. I will send specific information and invitations for all of these events as the time gets closer.
This summer is shaping up to be both busy and fun, as I also have three art camps I am offering for young artists. The first is a Nature Art Camp at my home in July, and then two Drawing Camps in August, one at the Farnsworth Art Museum, and another one at my home. Please see www.whitneyriver.com/classes for more information (the Farnsworth camp will be open for registration on April 15).
Finally, Beech Leaves 1 has been included in the fourth publication of the Humana Obscura literary magazine (I had drawings included in the first two issues). This beautiful magazine, full of wonderful poetry and artwork, can be purchased through Amazon or downloaded in digital form for free at www.humanaobscura.com.
And for any of you who don’t know, I share process videos of drawings and paintings almost daily @whitneyriverart on Instagram.
Best wishes to you all, and I hope I will get to see you at some point over the next few months.
Whitney
